We analyze previous work of the service providers.
Yes. All services providers connected through this website are for-profit commercial services, not volunteers.
If you can find a volunteer to do high quality work for you, at no cost, you should use them. Many nonprofits struggle to find people who will do high-quality work for them for free.
Our service providers are specialists in their field and they will do the work right the first time.
That is entirely up to the service provider; however, the majority of our providers DO offer nonprofit discounts.
Awakened innovations encourages service providers to offer nonprofit discounts but does not require this.
We are a for-profit corporation. Some individuals question this selection while others prefer to work with for-profits rather than other nonprofits. We simply provide a service to ensure nonprofits use good service providers to reduce the likelihood of problems.
Our service providers want to work with nonprofits and understand the budgetary constraints nonprofits operate under. So, they do what they can to keep costs down.
Businesses have to pay to get new customers. They simply pay us what they would pay to others.
Awakened Innovations receives our payment from the service providers. Once you agree upon a price for your project, there is NOT an additional fee added to cover our costs.
For example, if you want a website that usually costs $1500, you might negotiate to get it for $1000. That $1000 is what you will pay, there is not an additional fee to Awakened Innovations.
We do this for simplicity on your part. When you negotiate a price, you do not need to consider any additional costs from Awakened Innovations.
All service providers are independent businesses. We simply provide a connection between the nonprofit and the service provider.
At the same time, we vette our service providers. We select only nonprofit friendly providers and check that they can do what they are offering through our service.
We cannot guarantee that any specific engagement go as expected. It is your responsibility to select the right service provider for your specific needs. What we know is that the service provider can provide the service they offer through our site.
For example, if you identify a website developer, Awakened Innovations knows they can build quality websites. Different web developers, however, specialize in different types of websites. Some do quick and inexpensive templated sites, some use WordPress while others avoid WordPress, some do only custom work, some specialize in eCommerce sites. Some of vendors will build a website for a few hundred $’s, some have minimums of $1800 or $2500, one has worked on a website that cost over $500k. You need to select the one who can help with your specific needs.
That is certainly possible. However, by using this site, you agree not to do this. Additionally, Awakened Innovations can only continue to exist if we get money for our services. If you dishonestly cut us out of the loop, you harm the other hundreds or thousands of nonprofits who need this service.
Additionally, it would be worth questioning your choice to use a service provider who violates their promise to pay Awakened Innovations for this service.
Your first step is to try to work the issue out with the service providers. All our service providers want to work with nonprofits and support your mission.
If you are unable to resolve the issue directly with the service provider, feel free to reach out to us. These service providers do not work for us and are responsible for their own work product and the quality of their work; however, they have agreed to provide quality work and must do so. We may be able to help either resolve an issue or help both sides better understand the concerns of the other party.
Awakened Innovations provides introductions (referrals) between service providers and nonprofits. You are operating as an independent business in all interactions.
If you experience a problem, your first step is to attempt to resolve the issue between yourself and the nonprofit.
If you are unable to resolve the issue, feel free to contact us. As with your for-profit clients, sometimes misunderstandings may happen between yourself and your nonprofit clients. We may be able to help with the communication. In the end, it is your responsibility to handle any problems with your contract.
